In recent times farming is gradually gaining its rightful place as many no longer see it as the “Village job”.
It’s now a lucrative business that everyone is venturing into due to the immense wealth that can be gained and it’s overall contribution to the Nigeria economy.
It is productive, profitable and has created lots of jobs for the youths, which is leading to development.
In the case of the farmer in the picture, you can clearly see that he has employed people, and he is now harvesting the fruit of his labour, which would in turn avail him wealth to take care of his family.
The more farmers we have, the better food secure we would be as a nation. It also means more jobs if we explore the larger agricultural value chain, reducing the risk of idle hands available for vices.
